APPLICATIONS CLOSE Wednesday 6th May APRIL 2015
Eastern Sydney Partners in Recovery (ESPIR) is offering your organisation, consumer workers and consumers looking to work in the sector and opportunity to undertake fully subsidised training in evidence based program, PeerZone. 78% of participants rate the workshops as excellent (from over 2000 workshop evaluations in 2014)
What is PeerZone?
PeerZone is a series of 20 three hour peer-led workshops in mental health and addiction, backed up by online resources and support services for facilitators. It is a combination of peer support and peer-led recovery education. Since it rolled out in 2013, 126 facilitators have been trained to deliver the workshops in Australia, New Zealand and Canada. The workshops explore distress, recovery and all the major life domains such as lifestyle, relationships, housing and employment.
This is an excellent opportunity for:
- Organisations to place themselves at the forefront of the consumer movement and to provide appropriate staff with free training and ongoing support.
- Consumers, including consumer workers, and those looking to become consumer workers, to build their skill set
- Broadening and enhancing consumer support networks
- Better engagement with your consumers
